Using embodiment as the standard of change

The Black Embodiment Initiative (BEI) is the central project of The Embodiment Institute (TEI), a training and research entity focused on bringing relational transformation to communities through embodied healing. TEI approached Nightshift to design the BEI brand identity using custom typography and illustrative styling.

Nightshift created BEI’s logotype and logo mark through an iterative process where we explored dozens of custom hand lettering options. We landed on a hand rendered logotype that uses expressive mixed-weight lettering complemented by playful illustrative styling and colour palette.
